CTH017-UNUSUAL ADVENTURE (NDOKI - DJAKA - TERRE DES KABOUNGAS) (EXPLORATION)
CTH017
UNUSUAL ADVENTURE (NDOKI - DJAKA - TERRE DES KABOUNGAS) (EXPLORATION)In the heart of the virgin forest of the North Congo, we take you on a unique adventure: you will discover all the riches of the fauna and flora of the forest of the Congo basin.
In a village of pygmies or bantu, on the banks of a river like the Ndoki and others, you will learn to live to the rhythm of legendary forest peoples who for generations have been transmitting their rites and customs in the deep silence of the forest, from generation to generation.
These men of our world, but different from us, will take you to observe the most mysterious and wild animals of the jungle. You will make unusual encounters with elephants, Bongos, monkeys, gorillas, chimpanzees in their natural environment. You will climb trees to collect honey with the natives, you can learn about their hunting, fishing and gathering techniques or drink pure water from the vines during your excursions in the forest.
It is an extraordinary experience, an unusual expedition for lovers of nature and 21st century adventures.
Life in the forest (expedition, trekking...)
Exclusively walking on foot, sometimes in a non-motorized canoe. Swimming in rivers. Sleeping under tents or in local huts and huts. Cooking with wood fire, hunting meat or river fish, fresh and organic vegetables, rice, pasta, preserves, cheese and dessert with known and exotic fruits of our forest.
In the morning, coffee, tea milk, jam and cookies.
Walk in search of animals; snack between nine and ten o'clock. Stop if the native guides find a honey hive or a fishing or hunting place. During the stay in the forest, you can walk from 02 to 03 hours over a distance of 05 to 10 kilometers per day. Walks are sometimes done in difficult conditions: marshes, river to cross, closed forest to open with a machete etc. It is recommended to be physically fit.
We always choose to camp around a river, near a source of running and drinking water, but it is still necessary to plan for water purification fees.
Porters will take care of transporting your heavy bags and food while you take care of your cameras or video.
